Ananthkumar Hegde should Resign for ‘Stray dogs’ Remark against Dalit Organizations – DM Rajaneesh
Mangaluru: “The Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Anantkumar Hegde has insulted the Dalit community by refering Dalit organizations to stray dogs which we strongly condemn. Ananth Kumar Hegde should resign from his post for his Stray dogs remark”, said the deputy mayor Rajaneesh Kapikad in a press meet held at the District Congress Office here on January 22
Addressing the mediapersons Rajaneesh said, “Earlier minister Ananthkumar Hegde said that the BJP came to power to change the constitution and the Dalit community in Ballari district gheraoed him. When they gheraoed him, Ananthkumar referred the Dalit community to stray dogs. But prime minister Narendra Modi, nor the national president Amit Shah has reacted to his remarks which shows how much concern the Prime minister and the national president have towards the Dalit Community. They did not even apologize for the stray dogs remarks. From past 70 years, the BJP has not done anything for the welfare of the Dalit community, recently Yeddyurappa visited the Dalits house to fool the Dalits.”
Rajaneesh further said, “Minister Ananthkumar Hegde has openly said during the programmes that he is a hardcore RSS. But the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat or any other RSS leader have not reacted to the remarks of Ananthkumar. Ananthkumar Hegde should resign from his post. In the coming days, we will hold protests against Ananthkumar Hegde”, warned Rajaneesh.
Rajaneesh also said, “Till date, the BJP and Sangh Parivar have fooled the Dalit Community, they cannot fool us anymore. Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Congress government in the state has given many schemes for the Dalit community. The CM of Karnataka Siddaramaiah has reserved funds for the welfare of the Dalit community based on their population. If the BJP government led by PM Modi has the capacity let he allocate funds for the welfare of the Dalits according to their population.”
Congress Spokespersons Vinayraj, Corporator Nagaveni, Congress leader Vishwas Das and others were also present.
