Anna Faris, Eugenio Derbez to star in ‘Overboard’ remake
Los Angeles, March 7 (IANS) Actors Anna Faris and Eugenio Derbez have been roped in to star in the upcoming remake of the romantic comedy film “Overboard”.
Actors Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, and Edward Herrmann starred in the original 1987 film, directed by Garry Marshall.
Hawn played a selfish heiress who got amnesia when she fell off her yacht and Russell portrayed a carpenter who ultimately fell in love with her.
The remake will be co-directed and co-written by Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher, reports variety.com.
The story of the remake will focus on a spoiled playboy (Derbez) from one of Mexico’s wealthiest families. He falls overboard off his yacht.
