Former IPS officer Annamalai supports to include Tulu in 8th schedule of the Constitution
Udupi: Former IPS officer K Annamalai has supported to include the Tulu language in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, which lists the official languages of the Republic of India.
Annamalai tweeted on Sunday, September 8 around 11:58 pm, his tweet was liked by 1200 people and more than 250 people re-tweeted it.
In his tweet, Annamalai has said that Tulu is one among the highly evolved Dravidian languages with history and tradition. It was my privilege to have served in Tulu land and to have seen the richness of the Epic of Siri & Koti Chennayya. It richly deserves this inclusion.

Annamalai has worked as Additional SP of Karkala and SP of Udupi district for three years. While he was in Udupi he like the Tulu language. Recently he had visited Puttur for Yuva Vahini Programme and greeted the audience in Tulu language.
