Annual Feast of Guardian Angels Church-Angelore celebrated in Grandeur
Mangaluru: The Annual Parish Feast of Guardian Angels Church was celebrated in an atmosphere of devotion and gaiety on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Prior to the solemn concelebrated Festal Mass, Fr. William Menezes, the parish priest distributed the ‘candles of Honour’ to all the members of the Parish Pastoral Council, Gurkars and Representatives of the wards, presidents of different parish associations, those who had contributed towards the feast and also the sponsors of the annual feast. Roshan Patrao, The Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council and Mrs. Dora Rodrigues, the Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, read out the list of names.
Most Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D Souza, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mangaluru celebrated the Solemn Festal Mass. Rev Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, preached the Homily, V Rev Fr Matthew Vas, Rev Fr Benjamin Pinto, Rev Fr James D’souza, Rev Fr Denis D’souza, Rev Fr Victor D’souza, Rev Fr Vijay Lobo, Rev Fr Benjamin D’souza and others were present.
Rev Fr William Menezes greeted the priests and the parishioners and he thanked everyone for the contribution, participation and their Co-operation. The Bishop extended the festal greetings to Fr William Menezes, the parish priest the entire and all the parishioners.
A number of devotees were found lighting candles near the statue of Guardian Angel in front of the church. The stall of the ICYM with varieties of lucky games was the chief attraction of the feast revelers.
