Anupama Shenoy, former DySP of Kodlagi Sub-Division of Bellari, has said that she has personally approached Manjula Manasa, the Chairperson of State Women’s Commission, and has filed a complaint.

“Senior Officials have mentally harassed me, which led me to resign. The Director General of Police and the Superintendent of Police were constantly harassing me. I have sent 2 resignation letters to the concerned officials. The officials have accepted the resignation letter citing personal problems while the other letter indicating harassment has been returned to me,” said Anupama.

She also said that while the Model Code of Conduct was in force, the Director-General of Police had sent her on leave. “The DG should reveal the name of the individual who pressurised him to send me on leave. There are procedures to be implemented while accepting resignation but those procedures were ignored. When a notice was sent to me, a higher official should have approached me but the notice was forwarded through an official below the DySP rank.”

“The Facebook account opened in my name is a fake account. I will never join politics,” she added.
