Myself Ghrashmesh Kunder from Kota, Udupi District an Athlete in Indian National Karate Team (IND2431). Coming to my academics, currently, I am pursuing 3rd-year-degree course at Amrita University Mysore. I started my karate career in the year 2008 in Kiran’s Dragon Fist Martial Arts of India – Kundapur. I achieved my Black Belt in the year 2010 and achieved my 2nd DAN (Diploma) Black Belt in 2017.

From 2008 itself I started competing in State Level Karate Championships and won several Gold Medals Later on after obtaining the Black Belt I started to compete in National Level Tournaments and there also had bagged several Gold Medals.

I have been awarded “The Best Student’ – All over India 2015-16 from Nihonsiki Karate & Sports Federation – Mumbai” by L P Sarang – 7th DAN Black Belt Asia Director Ken Yu KanGoju Ryu (Australia).

From 2015, I shifted to Phoenix Martial Arts India – Bangalore for professional training and I train under the guidance of my coach Shihan Keerthi G K (Asian Coach) and my fitness coach Sensei Mehran Abdolahpour (World Champion) – Iran.

My first International victory was at New Delhi on 14th August 2016 in The International Independence Cup where I won Bronze Medal (3rd Place). I represented India in the U-21 Years Asian Karate Championship 2016 held at Indonesia from 25-27th of November where I was honoured with my official World Karate Federation ranking and achieved 7th place in U21 – 55kg category in Asia.

Once again in 2017, I represented India in The Thailand Open Karate Championship 2017 held in Bangkok, Thailand from 22-24th of April where the match was unfortunately tied in the quarter finals with the score (IND) 6 – 6 (LAOS).

I am 20 years old and this time I got selected to represent India in the forthcoming World Karate Championships – “10th World Cadet, Junior U21 Yrs Karate Championship 2017” which is going to be held at Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Spain from 25 to 29 October 2017. I am the only one to have been selected in this category from India. Letter of Confirmation is attached herewith.

As you can see it is clearly mentioned in the letter that all the expenditure in this connection will be borne by me. The total expenditure is estimated to be @Rs 3-4 lakh. My parent’s financial condition is not so sound to bear the full expenses as most of my parents’ earnings are spent on my education and training and also my brother’s schooling. Hence, I hereby appeal to you all to kindly help me financially in whatever way possible. I shall ever be grateful to you and all that I can do is to offer my prayers for your well-being. I also seek your blessings for my victory in this tournament. My account details are as under:

My sincere thanks to Mangalorean.com for uploading this boy’s genuine appeal. I understand that surprisingly the Karate Association of India is not bearing any expenses. Hence, the boy needs our assistance. I am doing my bit and request some kindhearted people to kindly sponsor in whatever way possible so that this promising young athlete can take part in the World Championship Tournament and bring laurels to our State and the Country.
