Archbishop of Bangalore Meets Representatives of Manipur Migrants

Bangalore: The Catholic Christians who have migrated from Manipur met with Archbishop Peter Machado in his office on Monday. Day by day the number of migrants who are finding a safe haven in Namma Bengaluru is increasing at an alarming rate. The numbers are shocking to see how Bengaluru has become a destination for many other people who travel from different states to find a job and support their families.

These representatives met the Archbishop to pour out their struggles and pains especially their spiritual needs. The archbishop has assured them of all the spiritual care that they need from time to time.

The churches in Bangalore are indeed facing newer challenges of availing their services and facilities to migrant and itinerant groups. In this venture, new initiatives and programs are planned and programmed by the archdiocese.
