Hyderabad, Feb 27 (IANS) UAE-based Aries group of companies is keen to set up a mobiles, tablets and television manufacturing unit in Telangana with an initial investment of $125 million, an official statement said on Saturday.
The group plans to launch world’s first glass free mobiles, tablets and televisions with the brand name Epica in August-September this year.
Sohan Roy, founder chairman and CEO of Aries, and other company officials met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Saturday.
According to a statement from the chief minister’s office, they requested for approval and allotment of land for its first of its kind manufacturing unit.
The chief minister asked them to apply online and assured that, within 15 days, the necessary approval will be given.
Sohan Roy and others met Rao to request him to be the chief patron at Indywood Film Carnival, to be held at Ramoji Film City here from September 24 to September 27.
Indywood Film Carnival aims to promote Indian Cinema and tourism globally and thereby benefiting Indian film industry both financially and qualitatively.
It would be organized by All Lights Film Society and co hosted by Ramoji Film City. More than 10,000 people are expected to attract the event.
The first edition of Indywood Film Carnival was held in Cochin in November last.
Sohan Roy, who is founder director of Indywood Film Carnival, was accompanied by Epica’s marketing director Satish Chandran and Ramoji Film City CEO Rajeev Jalana Purkar.
