Assault on Pick-up driver during Bharat Bandh, Accused Arrested
Bantwal: The Vittal police have arrested a man on September 19, in connection with the assault on a driver during the Bharat bandh on September 10.
The arrested has been identified as Jagga alias Jagadish from Mani.
On September 10, various associations joined hands for the Bharat Bandh. At Mani on the Mangaluru – Bengaluru National Highway Jagadish assaulted a Pick-up driver for not participating in the bandh. The injured was admitted to the Puttur hospital for treatment.
In this connection, a case was filed in the Vittal police station. On September 18, Jagadish was arrested in Mani and was produced before the court.
