Asthik Shetty Stresses Youth to Use Media in Right way during Valedictory of Expressions 2017
Mangaluru: The valedictory of Expressions 2017 was held at Roshni Nilaya, School of Social work on September 16.
The valedictory programme began with an invocation. The Academic Secretary of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya Rishika Rose welcomed the gathering. Vice Principal Dr Jenis Mary, delivered the keynote address.
The Chief Guest Asthik Avinash Shetty a popular Actor and winner of Viewers choice Award addressed the gathering and asked the youth to focus on their life. College life is an important milestone in the life of students and one should enjoy it to the fullest. Students should set a goal in their life and work accordingly to fulfill it. Those who work hard to fulfill their goals will succeed in their life.”
Asthik further said, “Media is playing a vital role in promoting one’s personality. I have become famous through the media. We should utilize the media in the right way to enhance our lives.”
The participants were then given an opportunity to give their feedback about the Fest. This was followed by the Vote of Thanks by the Entertainment Secretary Navami Shetty.
Sandra Lobo, HOD of Psychology Department announced the winners of Expression 2017. The first place was bagged by Aloysius Evening College and the runners-up were SDM college Ujjire.
The valedictory programme ended with the National Anthem followed by baila dance.
