Attack on DC, government employees to protest on April 4

Udupi: The Revenue department employees together with other government employees associations will be protesting against the attack on deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner on April 4 in front of the DC office.

Members submitted a memorandum to the district superintendent of Police on April 3 after gathering in large numbers in front of the SP Office Udupi.

The Revenue Department Employee Association, Village Accountant Association and the Government Employee Association met the District Superintendent of Police and urged the SP to arrest the accused.

The members said that the government employees are living in fear as the deputy commissioner who is the head of the district administration is attacked. The village accountants and other government officials are also attacked by the sand mafia. They urged to arrest the employers involved in sand mining who have now escaped.

The attack on deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner should be taken seriously and the real culprits behind the sand mafia should be arrested, they urged.

The representation of the Revenue Department Employees and other associations said that they will take a casual leave on March 4 and will express their solidarity with the Deputy Commissioner by protesting in front of the DC office.

SP KT Balakrishna said that legal action will be initiated.
