Attempt to Murder at Nellikai Road, Three arrested
Mangaluru: The South Police arrested three persons on December 9, in connection with the attempt to murder case at Nellikai road.
The arrested have been identified as Ahmed Sinan Jalil (22), a resident of Nadupalli, Sheikh Shahbaz Chaba (22) from Kudroli and Anis Ashraf (19) from Kudroli.
According to police, On December 2, at around 10:45 pm, Mohammed Izaz came home and parked his scooter in the apartment parking area. When he was about to go to his flat, the accused who were waiting in the parking area, attacked Izaz with machetes. Izaz ran for his life but the accused chased him until the stairs of his flat, stabbed him in the back and fled from the spot. In this connection, a case was filed in the Mangaluru South police station.
On getting information about the accused the Mangaluru South police arrested all the three accused at the Suratkal Junction. The police have seized an Activa Scooter, Machete, and knife from their possession. All the three accused were on their way back to Mangaluru from Goa where they were hiding after committing the crime.
The operation was carried out under the able leadership of Inspector Belliappa, ASI Ananth Murdeshwar and others. Further investigation is on.
