Attempted ATM Robbery Foiled in Udyavar

Udupi: A daring attempted robbery at a Canara Bank ATM in Udyavar was thwarted early Wednesday morning. At around 2 AM, three masked individuals attempted to break into the ATM, but their plan was quickly foiled when the ATM’s siren alerted, sending a distress signal to Canara Bank’s security division.

The bank staff promptly notified the Kaup police, who sprang into action. Security officers were dispatched to the scene, and fingerprint experts and senior police officers conducted a thorough investigation.

The Kaup police have registered a case and are actively pursuing leads. Nearby police stations have been alerted, and suspicious individuals are being questioned.

Thanks to the ATM’s security features and the swift response of the bank staff and police, the attempted robbery was unsuccessful, and no cash was stolen.
