Awareness Programme on Trends in Neonatology held by Kasturba Medical College
Mangaluru: Department of Pediatrics, Kasturba Medical College Hospital Attavar, Mangaluru organized an Awareness programme on Trends in Neonatology, on Sunday 14th January, at Ocean Pearl, for the Pediatricians (Children Specialists).
This CME promised to be an academic feast with the discussions and deliberations upon the latest trends in neonatology by eminent faculty where more than 110 Pediatricians from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kasaragod & Kannur Districts attended.
The Department simultaneously hosted a workshop for nurses working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) focusing upon the special nursing issues involved upon the theme ‘Essentials in NICU’ whereby more than 30 Nurses working with Neonatal Care from Karnataka & Kerala attended.
Dr Santhosh Soans – National President of Indian Association of Pediatrics & Dr M Venkatraya Prabhu, Dean KMC Mangaluru Inaugurated the Program.
Dr Kamalakshi G Bhat- Head of Dept., Dr Nutan Kamath, Dr Rachan Hegde & Dr Soundarya M. from Dept. of Paediatrics KMC were the organizing committee.
Dr Lesslie E. Lewis, Dr Suman Rao P N, Dr Arun Ramachandran, Dr B Shantharam Baliga, Dr Anju Shukla were among eminent speakers at the conference.
