Baba Ramdev Begins His Five-day-long Yoga Camp in Udupi

Udupi: A five-day-long mega yoga camp by Baba Ramdev, began in the Sri Krishna Math’s Parking area of Udupi on Saturday November 16, where thousands performed yoga.

The camp has been organised by Pathanjali Yoga Samithi Haridwar in association with Paryaa Palimar Math, and is being held from 5 am to 7.30 am. This Yoga camp is held annually in a state every year- and this year, the Samithi has selected Udupi for the camp. Irrespective of the age and sex, the children, elderly men, women and all assembled together and performed yoga and pranayama for continuous two and half hours.

A large number of men and women, including MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh, government employees, participated in the camp. The yoga guru also demonstrated a package of Asanas that keeps people healthy and helps them lead a medicine-free life.

Later, while speaking to the media, Baba Ramdev said, “A man who performs yoga can never give it up. Yoga not only keeps the body healthy, it also makes a person confident. Yoga also helps in keeping people away from addiction, including liquor,”

While giving yoga tips to the people, he emphasized the importance of yoga exercise in one’s life and asked people to adopt ‘yoga’ to be mentally and physically strong. “It helps in fighting disease like obesity, cancer, gas, constipation”, he added.

Fr Cedric Prakash S J should take some yoga classes and practice deep breathing. It will come handy and inspire positive thoughts. We can expect some good articles from a good writer who otherwise wastes his talent by writing monotonous articles directed against the ruling party.

Baba Ramdev called Ambedkar and Periyar intellectual terrorists. Some organizations have called for a boycott of Patanjali products.
