Babu (45) and Shanoj (40) Hacked to Death in Kannur
Kasargod: Within a gap of few hours two persons were brutally murdered in Kannur here on May 7 late night.
The deceased have been identified as Babu (45), a CPM party worker and Shanoj (40) a BJP worker.
According to sources, on May 7 late night, a group came in a vehicle with deadly weapons and hacked CPM worker Babu to death. In a few hours of the murder, BJP worker Shanoj who was on his way home on his auto was assaulted by a group. Shanoj was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The reason for the murders is not yet known. Both the CPM and BJP are blaming each other for the murders and have called for a bandh in Kannur and Mahe.
