Bajilakere Shailu Arrested Under Goonda Act
Mangaluru: The Bunder police have arrested a man under the Goonda Act here, on July 12.
The arrested has been identified as Shailesh alias Bajilakere Shailu, from Kinya, Talapady. Shailesh was arrested in connection with an extortion case in Moodbidri four days ago and has been in judicial custody since then.
Shailesh has been involved in various crimes including an attempt to murder and extortion, 12 cases have been registered against him. He was also involved in an attempt to murder case of two youth who were leaving the court at K S Rao Road on August 20, 2015. In this connection, a case was registered against Shailesh and two others.
Based on the report submitted by Bunder police inspector Shantharam, police commissioner Chandra Sekhar issued an order for the arrest of Shailesh and book him under the Goonda Act.
The Commissioner has already issued orders to inlcude 9 persons who have committed grievous crimes under the Goonda Act.
