Bajrang Dal to hold ‘Akhand Bharatha Sankalpa Dina’ on August 14
Udupi: “The Bajrang Dal will organise ‘Akhand Bharatha Sankalpa Dina’ with a rally in 100 places across the Karnataka South region including Udupi, DK and Kodagu districts on August 14,” said Sunil K R Prantha Sanchalak of the South Region. He was speaking at the press club on August 8.
“Akhand Bharatha Sankalpa Dina” is being celebrated every year with the intention of uniting people all over the country. On this day, we take an oath to try and unite the troubled regions of the country which belong to this nation. This is a patriotic day”, he said, adding that taking the oath is to build a strong nation with peace and equality.
The Bajrang Dal is protesting on Datta Peeta issue since the last 20 years. Every month our BD workers are visiting the Peeta and offering the Puja. The Court has directed to maintain Status quo with regard to religious practices to be observed at the Datta Peeta in Bababudangiri. The official records have proved that the shrine belonged to the Hindus. But the local administration had allowed carving Islam symbols on the main door which is condemnable. The government should remove the carved Islam Symbols immediately. If the government fails to remove the symbols Bajrang Dal will hold a huge protest, “he warned.
“Theft cases in the Temples have risen in the district. Every day one or another Temple is being burgled in Udupi district. The district police have failed to crack a single case. Police should arrest the culprits and provide proper security for the Temples,” he said.
“A number of cows have been stolen or forcibly taken away from places within the limits of Udupi district. Bajrang Dal strongly condemns such acts by the cow thieves. Although these things have repeatedly been brought to the notice of police department and district administration, proper steps have not been taken. Cattle thieves should be arrested immediately. Failing to take action, protest undertaken here will spread all over the district,” he warned.
Bajrang Dal leaders Sudhir Nitte, Surendra Koteswhar, Anil Udupi were present in the press meet.
