Baliga Murder – Accused Shailesh Secures Bail
Mangaluru: A court from here has on Tuesday granted bail to Shailesh (40) aka Shailu, one of the accused in the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga, who was murdered near his house in Kodialbail on March 17.
Shailesh had been in custody since his arrest on May 17. On June 9, he had filed a criminal miscellaneous petition under section 439 for bail. Second additional district and sessions judge Sarvodaya Shettigar granted him bail.
A charge-sheet filed by the special team of city police has stated that Shailesh, joined by prime accused Naresh Shenoy and Shrikant, had conspired to murder the Baliga. Other accused are Nishit Devadiga, Shivaprasad and Vinit Poojary.
