To ban PFI and Expose Real Face of Minister Rai Mangaluru Chalo on Sept 7 – BJP

Mangaluru: “We thought of holding a peaceful Mangaluru Chalo bike rally on September 7 but the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah has implemented an undeclared emergency. Four years ago when Siddaramaiah held the padayatra, the BJP government provided security but when the BJP is organising the bike rally Siddaramaiah is declaring an emergency. At any cost we will hold the Mangaluru Chalo bike rally on September 7,” said the District BJP president Sanjeeva Matandoor in a press meet held at the BJP office here on September 5.

Addressing the mediapersons Sanjeeva Matandoor said, “We are living in a democratic country and we have the right to protest. But the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah has kept Pratap Simha and Shobha Karandlaje under house arrest.”

Sanjeev Matandoor further said, “In Karnataka, we have taken all measures to hold the Mangaluru Chalo Bike Rally on September 7. More than 10,000 bikes from Dakshina Kannada will gather at the Nehru Maidan. Party workers from various districts will arrive by car, buses, flights etc. In the Panchayat-level we have staged protests in 250 places. Here in Dakshina Kannada, the police are acting as bonded labourers of CM Siddaramaiah and Minister Ramanath Rai. If any untoward incident takes place affecting the law and order situation during the Rally, the District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai will be held responsible”.

Sanjeev Matandoor also said, “We are holding the rally to demand a ban on the PFI. BJP is a national political party and not a communal organization to be denied permission to hold Mangaluru Chalo.”

Monappa Bhandary, Capt Brijesh Chowta, Kasturi Panja, Kishore Rai, Vedavyas Kamath, Rukmaiah Poojary, Umanath Kotian and others were also present.
