Bank Official Franklin D’Cunha (26) Dies in Mishap in Karkala
Karkala: Franklin D’Cunha (26), hailing from Daregudde in Moodbidri and serving as assistant manager at HDFC Bank in Moodbidri, died in a road mishap that took place in front of Abharana Jewellers on the bypass here on Thursday around 11-15 am.
He was on his way to a relative’s house riding his new bike which he had bought on Wednesday. As he reached Kariakallu, the bike went out of his control and rammed into an electric pole.
With severe injuries, he was taken to the government hospital here and given first aid. Then on the way to Manipal hospital, he is said to have breathed his last.
A case has been registered at the town police station.
