Bantwal: Mohammed Rafiq Haji (33), son of Ismail Haji of Chendukala in Alike village in the taluk, has died in a collision of vehicles in Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday night.
After work, he was travelling in a car on way to his accommodation. A truck collided head-on with the car and he is said to have died on the spot.
He had worked as a rickshaw driver in Vittal for many years before moving to UAE for better prospects. He is survived by wife and two daughters.
