Bantwal parishioners contribute towards flood-affected regions in Kerala & Kodagu
Bantwal: The ICYM Bantwal unit took initiative to collect contribution from the Bantwal parishioners under the K to K project of ICYM Central Council. This event was coordinated by the ICYM President Avinash Jeevan D’souza and Secretary Annet Carol Dsouza with help of Other ICYM members.
On 19th August 2018, contributions were collected by the unit members from the parishioners in the form of money and other items. The parishioners generously donated funds towards this which exceeded ₹ one lakh. Other things collected included rice, clothes, water cans, packet food items and medicinal kits. Money collected through keeping the boxes out the church.
There was a massive response towards this initiative by the parishioners. Same was highly appreciated by the parishioners and Parish Priest. Later all other units of the Bantwal deanery get their things to Bantwal unit and from there sent two trucks to Mangalore ICYM office.
Youth of the ICYM bantwal actively took part by staying at church and collecting things from morning 6 am to evening 7pm.
