Bantwal Recreation Club Raided, 70 including Manager Arrested
Bantwal: The Bantwal Town police raided a Recreation club at Prasanna Complex and arrested 70 persons who were involved in gambling on March 15.
According to the police, on March 15 after getting permission from the Bantwal Judge, and a search warrant from the ASP, the Bantwal Traffic Police Station SI Manjunath with his team raided the Bantwal Recreation Club.
When the police asked the license with the club manager Sai Kiran (37) from Manjeshwar, he said that the club has been running without any license. The club was running illegally violating the high court rules.
The police arrested 70 persons who were involved in gambling along with the manager, Rs 72,100 cash used for gambling, 51 mobile phones worth Rs 1 lakh, cards, 2 DVRs, a round table and 7 chairs. The Bantwal Town police have registered a case under the KP Act 1963 and are investigating.
