Based on IQ and EQ, Kannada Film ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ Releasing Soon
Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Ashwin Jossy Pereira, the Producer of the movie said, ” The Kannada movie “Asathoma Sadgamaya” which will be releasing soon, may be before election date or after the elections, is based on IQ and EQ concept. Earlier relationship and emotional quotient were given priority. Time has change now, today’s generation is smart and parents too look for intelligence, good marks rather than special bond or valuable relationships. Today emotions and attachments have lost their importance which we have tried to revive in this movie. It is a family entertainer, with a dash of comedy. For the first time in Kannada movies, the trailer of this movie has already been released in Dubai, while we have received good response from the fans for the movie songs”
Director Rajesh Venur has worked on some philosophical lines with this Sanskrit title ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’. Bringing those in darkness to light is his attempt in this film. Speaking during the press meet, he said, ” This ‘I Care Movies’ maiden production has some intelligent stuff in the content. It is on relationship and intelligence in the story line this film moves on silver screen. This is a big budget cinema for first time producer Ashwin, made at a whopping cost of Rs 1.5 crore, which was filmed in 45 days in Mangaluru, Moodabidri, Mandya and Bengaluru. Kiran Raj who showed his acting skills in the movie ‘March 22’ is playing lead actor in this film. The cast includes Radhika Chetan, Lasya Nagaraj, Deepak Shetty and Baby Chitrali.
Also speaking actress Lasya Nagaraj said, “This is my debut Kannada film, which based on a story which will bring changes in the lives of people by balancing their IQ and EQ. Frankly speaking, by acting in this has also brought a few changes in my lifestyle. I solicit the support of the people to patronize this movie”. Actress Radhika Chethan said, “Asathoma Sadgamaya ‘ is a movie all about IQ and EQ, sending a strong message to bring changes in peoples lives. After my performance in Kannada blockbuster movie ‘Rangitharanga’, I am really overwhelmed to act in ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’, where I play a very prominent role”. Cute and bubbly kid Artist Baby Chitrali bringing some laughter among the media persons through her dialogues said, “This is my first Kannada movie, and I am very much excited to take part in it. I am not going to reveal the story of this movie, because I want you all to come to the theatres, see the movie and know the story”.
Mangaluru diction of Kannada is used in the majority of the film. The concept relates to the majority of people life is the belief of director. The movie is produced by Ashwin J Pereira, Moodbidri and co-produced by Melissa D’Souza. Producer Ashwin is a budding entrepreneur from Moodabidri. He is a JD(S) Mulky-Moodbidri convenor and also the owner of I-Care builders. This is his first venture as movie producer. Radhika Chetan will be sporting an all-new look in this movie. Nelson and Vikram are executive producers of the movie. Wahab Salim has directed music whereas cinematography is by Kishore. This movie has five songs in it. The unique and classy title ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ has been trending on social media, making viewers eager.
Director Rajesh Venoor, a graduate in Journalism has made several documentaries and ad films. He has vast experience of working in television channels in post-production. ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ is a debut movie of Rajesh. Cinematographer Kishore has worked as DoP for several reality shows and documentaries. Pradeep Barboza Paladka, hero and director of ‘Ek Aslylar Ek Na’ fame and Deepak Paladka, comedy actor in Konkani and Tulu film who is popular in Dubai and Mangaluru make their debut in comic roles.
The leading actress of this movie Radhika Chetan of “Rangi Taranga” fame, was born in Mysore, Karnataka. She graduated from Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mysore. She made her Sandalwood debut in 2015 through the super hit Kannada movie Rangi Taranga directed by Anup Bhandari. Some of her notable works are U-Turn, BB5, Kaafi Thota, Hotegagi Genu Bategagi. She is done a special appearance in Shivraj Kumar’s movie ‘The Villain’.
Anand Audio is the audio label of this movie. The ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’ song was composed and written by Wahab Salim, and rendered by Singer Prajoth. Radhika Chetan and Kiran Raj play the lead role in ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’. Lasya Nagaraj, Baby Chitrali and Deepak Shetty are also part of the movie.
