Basheer murder case, Two more arrested by CCB Police
Mangaluru: The CCB police succeeded in arresting two more accused in the Basheer murder case on January 14.
The arrested have been identified as Lathish (24) and Pusparaj (23) both from Kasargod.
On January 3, at around 10:00 pm while Basheer was closing his fast food shop at Kottara Chowki. The accused came on motorbikes, attacked Basheer with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. Basheer was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries on January 7.
The CCB police have already arrested Srijith P K alias Sriju, Kishan Poojary, Dhanush Poojary and Sandesh Kotian and produced them before the court. During interrogation, the accused have revealed that in revenge for the murder of Deepak Rao they had assaulted Basheer.
The accused have been handed over to the Kavoor Police station for further investigations.
Under the able guidance of Police commissioner T R Suresh, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by CCB Inspector Shantharam, PSI Shyamsundar and team.
