BD & SRS Activists Arrested While Protesting Against Tipu Jayanti
Mangaluru: According to the government orders the district administration held Tipu Jayanti celebrations at the District Zilla Panchayat premises here on November 10.
Many organizations staged a protest against the government to stop celebrating Tipu Jayanti. But the government was firm in its decision in celebrating the Tipu Jayanti.
President of RKV Franklin Monteiro was arrested as he tried to enter the ZP premises to protest against the Tipu Jayanti. Later the members of Bajrang Dal staged a protest against the Tipu Jayanti celebrations and were arrested by the police. After some time, members of Sri Rama Sene protested against the Tipu Jayanti and they too were arrested.
