Mangaluru: Nowadays youth are busy creating Ganapa of various forms. On September 4, we published an article of a 13 ft Ganapa Idol made of 20,222 Rudrakshas by Master Guys Kulshekar Kaikamba. On September 5, we were informed by another group, Beach Boys about their creation of Lord Ganesha.

The Beach Boys and Kaikamba Tigers from Kulshekar Kaikamba together have made a yet another Ganapa idol from Coconut husk at Kaikamba.

Speaking to Mangalorean.com Ashwath Kini said, “From the past five years we are making unique Ganapathi. This is our 6th year and we have made the Ganapa from Coconut Husk at a cost of Rs 8000. We have completed this Ganapa Idol in about One-and-half months time. The height of the Ganapa idol is 8 ft”.

Ashwath further said, “We have 32 members in our team who share all the expenses without depending on any donations. We are planning to take this Ganesh Idol to Kudroli Temple too. All the 32 members are co-operating well”.

Ashwath also said, “We keep this Ganesh Idol because the procession of Ganesh Idols from Chowki, Shakti Ganesh from Kulshekar and from Siddivinayaka Temple Bikkarnakatte pass through this area. The Ganesh Idol from Chowki has already been immersed. Today the Shobhayatra of Lord Ganesha from Siddivinayaka Temple is going on. Tomorrow the Shobhayatra of Kulshekar Ganesha will be held”.
