Bellevision Bahrain holds Annual Family Sports meet
Bahrain: There was an excitement in the air as Bellevision family once again came together at the Baba City – Ground on October 28, to participate in their annual family sports meet.
The sports meet began with an invocation. Founder President Joel Dsa welcomed the gathering.
President Alfreeda Castelino in her presidential address explained the importance of sports day as it promotes health and well-being. It will also strengthen the unity and understanding among ourselves. She thanked all the members for their support.
The groups were divided into four teams – Red, Blue, White and Yellow and was well handled by active and talented Sports Secretary Judith Mendonca and Joel D’sa. Joel D’Sa administered the oath to the participants, and all the members solemnly pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. He also briefed on a few safety rules and guidelines. First Aid assistance was provided by President Alfreeda Castelino, she ensured that all injuries requiring first aid were treated.
Most of the games were played team-wise. For children in the age group of 3 – 11 years individual and group games were conducted such as collecting balls, Hit the wicket, Basket Ball, Balloon bursting relay, Lemon and Spoon, Cricket ball throw etc. The team games were dog and the bone, dodge ball and Cycle wheel (bandi) relay, Mini Football which was the best and most loved game of the day.
Individual winners in children category age group 3 – 11 years were presented with medals and team Red was presented with a rolling shield. Joel D’sa delivered the vote of thanks. He thanked all those who supported and put their efforts to make the event a successful and memorable one.
The whole day was amazingly harmonized with members cheering for each other. Bellevision members once again proved their caliber and expertise in executing the event. The coordination, commitment and enthusiasm shown by every member was noteworthy.
