Beltangady Jewellery shop Robbery case, 2 arrested after 6 months
Beltangady: Two persons have been arrested by the police on December 12, in connection with a robbery case of Damas Jewellers in Ujire on 10 June 2016.
The arrested have been identified as Manjunath alias Koli Manja (49) and Mohanthesh (21) from Madhugiri Tumkur.
On June 10, night, both the accused broke open the shutter, entered the Damas Jewellery shop and decamped with gold. To nab the culprits the police formed teams under the leadership of Beltangady circle inspector Ravi B S. On December 11, after getting information on the accused, the Beltangady police reached Madhugiri and arrested Manjunath and Mohantesh.
Both the accused were produced before the court where they were remanded to judicial custody.
The operation was carried out by ASI Karunakar, Fingerprint expert Satish B N and team, Beltangady police team Kanakraj, Dharmapal, Shivaram Rai, Nagaraj, Krishna, Yatindra, Harish, Satish and driver Harish.
