Bengaluru: Archbishop Dr Bernard Moras called upon the Governor, Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala at the Raj Bhavan on August 31. He was accompanied by Home Minister K J George.
The Archbishop extended a warm invitation to the Governor to St Mary’s Feast scheduled to be celebrated on September 8, at the 127 year old St Mary’s Basilica in Bengaluru.
The Governor, while expressing his inability to attend the feast due to pre-scheduled engagements, recalled his pre-school years at St Mary’s School in Gujarat. He assured the Archbishop of attending the programmes in future. He wished the Archbishop and the people of the diocese success in celebrating St Mary’s feast.
Chancellor and PRO Fr A S Anthonyswamy and Secretary to the Archbishop Antony George Mahendran were also present during the meeting.
