Bengaluru City on High Alert under Strict Security Vigil
Bengaluru: The city including Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha, Railway stations, malls, metro, and all the highrise buildings have been put on high alert after receiving information from the intelligence on August 16.
The Commissioner of Police Bengaluru City Bhaskar Rao issued a memo to both the additional commissioners and deputy commissioners of police in their jurisdiction. They are strictly instructed to sensitize high alert at all iconic installations like the Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha, all railway stations, Bengaluru Metro, BMTC, KSRTC Bus stations, High-End Schools, Malls, Five Star Hotels and Markets with high footfalls to immediately carry out the following.
These are only indicative:
- Posting of pickets
- Ensure all CCTVs are working in their respective areas.
- High level of police presence and visibility continuously till further order.
- Verifying antecedents of suspected persons and vehicles.
- Unattended baggage and vehicles to be seized
- Private security persons should be sensitized at the police station level.
- All officers should be continuously available on rounds at important places in their areas.
- Night round officers should check all the vehicles at the borders and seize suspicious vehicles.
- PG hotels, service apartments, accommodation near religious places should also be checked
- There must be area domination from beat level to division level
Checkpoints should be set up at important places - All officers and personnel are to be on high alert.
