Roshan is a former employee of Bharat Electronics Limited, currently running an independent outfit called Launch Online Centre. He had posted the comment in response to the alleged incident of the CM having slapped the commissioner of Ballari civic body, which has been subsequently denied by both sides.

The incident was reported to have taken place during the opening ceremony of Valmiki Bhavan in Kaul Bazar in Ballari on Jan 16. Roshan posted his reaction on Jan 17. Although the police decline to reveal the contents of his post, informed sources said that the tweet read as follows:

‘Dear LTTE, ISIS, Al Qaeda, KKK or anyone listening. Please do us a favour and assassinate this b******’

Later reports said that Roshan has been let out on bail.

“Techie Arrested for Derogatory and Threatening Post against CM” – Report

I guess the report is slightly misleading. Nobody should be arrested for derogatory remarks as it is protected under free speech. However, threat is not acceptable. In this case, this guy seems to have threatened CM’s life by asking terrorist outfits to assassinate him. I’m glad that Police took action. I don’t think this guy meant what he tweeted – He appears to be an ignoramus based on his tweet. However, threatening has to be dealt with zero tolerance.
