Bengaluru: A function by the name ‘Haasil-e-mutalia’ had been arranged in the Karnataka Urdu Academy’s auditorium in Kannada Bhavana in the city on Wednesday evening.
The programme was organized by the Academy. As such, Dr Fouzia Choudhary, the chairperson of the Academy, was just delivering her presidential address. As she spoke, she suddenly collapsed on the dais.
She was found exhausted and weak. As she was taken to St Martha’s hospital, she is said to have breathed her last.
She hailed from Kalaburagi and lived with the family in Fraser Town. She is survived by her husband and three daughters.
