Best Teacher National Awardee Raphael Aranha Belle Dies in Road Accident
Udupi: The Best Teacher National Award winner in 2003 and former Headmaster of Belle Church Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle passed away on 17 October 2017 following a tragic road accident in Udupi.
The deceased has been identified as Peter Raphael Aranha former Headmaster of Belle Church Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle
According to the police, Peter Aranha was on his way to Baliga Hospital, Doddanna Gudde, Udupi on his two-wheeler. While Peter Aranha taking a turn, he was hit by a speeding bus and collapsed on the road. Though he was rushed to the KMC Hospital, Manipal, but he breathed his last.
Raphael Aranha served as a teacher at the Church Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle. Recognizing the qualities of Raphael Master as an effective teacher and good administrator he was promoted as the Head Master of the Church Aided Higher Primary School. A number of awards were conferred on Raphael Master. He was chosen as one of the Best Teachers at the District level in 1998. In 2001, Raphael Master was awarded the Best Teacher at the Karnataka State level and in 2002 he was conferred with the highest teachers’ award in India as the Best Teacher National Award. This award was conferred on him by the then President of India A P J Abdul Kalam.
Raphael Aranha survived by his wife Leena Aranha, two children Priya and Preetham.
