Bharat Bandh Lathi-Charge: Udupi returns too Normalcy, Eight cases Booked
Udupi: Udupi City returned to normalcy after Monday’s incidents of Clashes between Congress and BJP workers during the Bharat Bandh.
According to the police eight cases had been registered in connection with the clashes between the Congress and the BJP workers during the Bharat bandh called by the Congress. Totally 10 members including 6 from BJP and 4 from the Congress were arrested in this connection.
Of the eight cases booked by the police one case had been filed by a Shopkeeper Jayananda near Kalsanka, another case was filed by Chaitra Kundapur a Hindu Activist. Rest of the cases and counter cases were filed by the BJP and Congress party workers.
The Police are checking the video footages of the clashes that had taken place. Based on the video footages more cases will be registered, said police sources.
