Bhaskar Shetty Murder: District Court grants Bail to Srinivas and Raghavendra
Udupi: The Udupi District and Sessions Court on Saturday, October 1 granted bail to two accused in Hotelier Bhaskar Shetty Murder case.
Srinivas Bhat father of Niranjan Bhat and Raghavendra who were facing charges of destroying evidence in the Hotelier Bhaskar Shetty murder case moved the bail application in the District and Sessions Court. Advocate Vikram Hegde from Mangaluru appeared on behalf of Shrinivas Bhat and Raghavendra.
After moving the bail application the public prosecutor sought time for filing objections until September 24, which was granted by the court. The hearing was held on September 27 at the District and Sessions Court.
On Saturday the Udupi District and Sessions Court Magistrate Amarannanavar granted bail to Srinivas Bhat and Raghavendra under the sections put in the FIR copy.
Hotelier Bhaskar Shetty had gone missing from his house on July 28, and his mother Gulabi Shetty had lodged a missing person complaint at the Manipal police station onJuly 29.
The police have arrested his wife, Rajeshwari, and his son, Navaneeth, on the charge of murdering Bhaskar Shetty and destroying the evidence on August 7.
