Bhaskar Shetty Murder: Niranjan’s Police custody extended till Sept 19
Udupi: The chief Judicial Magistrate has extended the police custody of Astrologer Niranjan Bhat, prime accused in the murder of Hotelier Bhaskar Shetty till September 19 evening.
The CID police officials produced Niranjan Bhat before the Chief Judicial Magistrate on September 17 evening at 4:45 pm.
The assistant public prosecutor sought custody of Niranjan Bhat for five more days. The Additional chief Judicial Magistrate permitted the CID police to have Niranjan Bhat in their custody until September 19 evening 5 pm.
Advocate Vikram Hegde who is representing Niranjan Bhat appealed to the court to give medical treatment to Niranjan Bhat for diabetes. The court directed the CID Police to provide treatment to Niranjan Bhat if needed.
