Bhatkal: Anjuman Institute of Management & Computer Application (AIMCA), Bhatkal celebrated their 19th annual day here on May 10 at Anjumanabad, Bhatkal.
Chief Guest of the function, Mohammed Ilyas Jubapu, from Saudi Arabia said that job aspirants, career-thirsty youth and general public will be benefited and comfortably placed in life if they only make some time for reading everyday.
Students should inculcate the habit of reading newspapers, biographies etc to improve their knowledge and communication skills, said Jubapu.
Jubapu also shared some of his views on the necessity for raising awareness on character and values. In the past in the traditional education, they used to place a lot of emphasis on character. But today the element of interest is missing as far as character education is concerned. One should constantly remember that without character, we cannot contribute anything for the improvement of quality of life on earth, he added.
Praising Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeens for encouraging students through cash prizes and their constant efforts, Ilyas Jubapu said that the students were lucky to have such a management which did so much to encourage them. He also announced a cash prize for top scoring students.
While addressing the students on the occasion, Guest of Honour, Naresh Kumar, Chief Manager of State Bank of India, Bhatkal said, “If you stop learning you stop growing”.
In today’s competitive atmosphere students should come out with new thoughts and ideas; this can be generated only through constant learning. The student community should think big and have the confidence to accomplish their goals. Adding to that, he said people who excelled had learnt every day. He exhorted the students to give their best and excel in their career path. People should never stop learning as academic learning alone is not enough to shape a career spanning an entire life time, he added.
Naresh said that the future of India depends on the youth of the country. India has tremendous and valuable asset ‘Youth’. India will soon emerge as a developed nation through the strength of its youth power. He further said that providing quality higher education to youth would pave the way for the development of the country.
Zainab Varisha of BBA Final year, who scored 100 out of 100 in Management Accounting subject of BBA 5th Semester examination was honoured with special cash prize while the Lecturer Bushra KV who was teaching the subject was also honoured by Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, Bhatkal.
Prizes were distributed to the participants in the sports events and Management and IT fest competitions. Some students shares their experiences on the occasion.
During the programme Mohammed Azhar was awarded the general championship in Annual Sports 2014-15.
The programme was initiated with the recitation of Quran by Noorul Afsar. Student’s general secretary Fawwaz kazia welcomed and Ilhan introduced the guests, while Principal Mohammed Mohsin presented the brief Annual report of AIMCA 2014-15.
Faculty member’s Jameel shaikh and Physical director Mohan Mesta announced the list of prize winners and Girls students’ general secretary Farha Ansar SM delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was hosted by Abdul Samee and Sarfaraz Hussain.
Vice-President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen’s Kasimiji Mohammed Ansar presided over the function and Additional secretary Ismial Hasan Siddique, College Secretary Dr Syed Saleem, Ismail Hasan Damudi were present on dais.
