Bhatkal Celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr with Religious Fervor
Bhatkal: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Bhatkal on Wednesday, July 6 with great religious fervor, enthusiasm and zeal as Muslims marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Thousands of Muslims thronged Masjids in the morning and offered prayers. They also hugged one another wishing everyone “Eid Mubarak”.
After the prayers, sermons were delivered in which preachers highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr. They spoke about the significance of the religious ritual and the obligation of Muslims towards it. They requested the people to maintain peace and harmony in the town.
They also prayed for world peace and progress for the people and for the country’s prosperity.
The police had made security arrangements for the peaceful celebration of Eid.
