Mangaluru: During a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Dr. B Suresh Kumar Shetty-Organizing Secretary of the Conference said, “The Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangaluru, Manipal University will be hosting the FIRST INDO-FRENCH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS-2017 on 23rd and 24th November 2017. The highly resourceful conference will be attended by more than 100 delegates comprising forensic experts, doctors, lawyers, police officers from all over India and delegates from France, have registered. There will be a sizable gathering of students, post graduates and doctors, as the conference is packed with fruitful scientific sessions like guest lectures and quality E-poster presentations, of medico legal importance.”
He further said, ” The Conference is accredited from the Karnataka Medical Council. The conference theme, “CONNECTIONS BRIDGING THE PRESENT AND FUTURE IN FORENSICS” with the rapid growth of forensic research and medical education between two Nations.The two days programme has been designed to cover the theme of our conference with highlight on newer forensic research, recent advances in forensic medicine for crime detection and concrete and uniform guidelines in practice of forensic medicine and toxicology. We are bringing informative and colourful E-souvenir during the conference which will be released on the inaugural function of the conference.
Dr. Jagadish Rao P.P.—-Co-Organizing Secretary also speaking during the press meet said, “This conference is a collaboration meeting between Manipal University and Claude Bernard Lyon University-France, and it also happens to be the FIRST ever assembly between two nations in the world of forensics. Keeping with the phenomenal growth is Forensic Science, Law and Medical Education throughout the world, the conference has a unique theme. The two-day conference has been designed to cover new and pertinent topics with a thrust on current Forensic and Medical Research, recent advances in Forensics for crime detection and to formulate concrete, uniform guidelines in the science of Forensic medicine and toxicology.Eminent experts from India, France and other countries will give talks on various topics and also participate in this conference “
