Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha Appoints Msgr Lawrence as Vicar General for Mangalore Diocese
Mangaluru: Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore Appointed Msgr Lawrence Maxim Noronha (Well Known as Maxim) the Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore on 21st September 2018. He will take charge on 26th September 2018.
Fr Maxim was born on December 27, 1961, to Albert Noronha and Florine Noronha in Pamboor. He was ordained as a priest on October 10, 1989.
He Served as Assistant Priest in Bhalki – Bidar, Jalasangi Bidar, Pangla( Shankarapura) and Bendur Parishes. In 1994 he was appointed Pasish Priest of Piusnagar. After serving seven years he was transferred to Ferar parish where he served as parish Priest for Seven years. In 2008 he was appointed Procurator (Financial Administrator) of Mangalore Diocese. In 2013 he was appointed Parish Priest of Modankap parish and Vicar vara of Bantwal deanery.
He is a priest for 29 years, his pastoral experience, administrative skills, simplicity, approachability and friendly nature would definitely make him good Vicar General of Mangalore diocese.
