Bishop Gerald Blesses New Belfry Tower of Gangolli Church
Kundapur: As prior preparation for the inauguration of the Immaculate Conception Church Gangolli, the newly-erected belfry tower of the church was inaugurated and blessed on Saturday, May 13. The Holy Cross of the Alter and religious items which were being used in the church were also blessed on the occasion.
Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of Udupi diocese blessed the belfry tower. A family member of Late Bona Lewis the sponsors of the belfry tower was also present.
Fr Anil D’Souza, Dean Kundapur Deanery, Fr Albert Crasta Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception Church Gangolli, Gerald Newton Crasta vice president, Preethi Fernandes Secretary Parish Pastoral Council and others were present.
The inauguration of the newly-built church will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 9:15 am.
Bishop of Udupi Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo and the Bishop of Gulbarga Dr Robert Miranda will bless the new church building.
After the inauguration and thanksgiving, the holy Eucharistic mass and a public felicitation programme will he held. A fellowship meal will be arranged for all the devotees.
