Bishop Gerald Lobo Highlights Opportunities for Leadership in Cooperative Sector

Bishop Lobo was speaking at an event organized by the Catholic Sabha Udupi region to honor Christian leaders serving in the cooperative sector. He commended the Christian community for their active participation in the sector, highlighting the benefits of direct engagement with the community.

Bishop Lobo stressed the need for a federation of Christian cooperatives to present a united front and encourage collective consideration. He emphasized the importance of working together to address the needs of the community.
Challenges and Opportunities in the Cooperative Sector
Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Mangalore, inaugurated the event and shared his insights on the challenges and opportunities in the cooperative sector. He noted that while managing duties in the sector can be challenging, there is a sense of fulfillment in serving the community according to their needs.
Strengthening the Christian Community
Ivan D’Souza, a member of the Legislative Council, offered suggestions on strengthening the Christian community within the cooperative department. The event also honored newly elected presidents, vice presidents, and directors from various cooperative institutions within the Udupi Diocese.
