BJP and Congress have Failed to Protect the Interests of the State – MLC TA Shravana
Udupi: The BJP and Congress have failed to protect the interests of the state, the people of the state have decided to elect HD Kumaraswamy as the chief minister in the 2018 assembly polls said MLC, TA Shravana.
He was speaking at a press meet during his visit to Udupi here on May 1. HD Kumaraswamy during his tenure of 20 months as Chief Minister had implemented various measures to promote the welfare of the state.
The state is facing severe drought and the government has failed in providing relief to the farmers. The government has failed in waiving the loans of farmers.The farmers are leading a life of misery as agriculture has been hit by severe drought in the state.
TA Shravana further said that fFarmers will be joining together with the JDS to elect Kumaraswamy as the Chief Minister in the 2018 elections. HD Devegowda was also earlier elected by the farmers as Chief Minister of the state.
JDS will contest independently and contest for all the seats in the upcoming polls. There will be no alliance with any other party, he said.
Karnataka has bagged the first place in corruption which is a shame for the entire state. There is no protection for women in the state. Women officials are subjected to harassment and pressure. Anupama, Shika, Priyanka Mary Francis and many other officials have come under the ire of this government which is promoting sand mafia in the state.
17 parliamentarians have failed in protecting the interests of the state. The issues of Mahadayi, Kaveri have been ignored, the central government has destroyed the coffee and sugarcane growers. There is a need for an effective local party for the development of the state.
District president Yogish Shetty, Vasudev Rao, Jayakumar Parkala, Shalini Shetty Kenchanuru and others were present.
