BJP and PFI made Internal Agreement to Defame Minister Rai – Vinayraj
Mangaluru: “Congress is a secular party and treats everyone equally. The district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai is a secular person and has won the elections six times and has become the Home Minister, Transport minister and now the Forest minister. The opposition is blaming Ramanath Rai when there is any murder or any untoward incident in the district. In his 35 years of political career, Rai has treated everyone equally. But the BJP and PFI are creating communal violence in the district and blaming him. The BJP and PFI have made an internal agreement to defame Minister Rai. If any Hindu dies the BJP says that he was the member of their organization. BJP is creating communal violence to divide Hindus for vote bank. There are rumours that the BJP is funding PFI to create communal violence”, alleged Congress Spokesperson Advocate Vinayraj in a press meet held at the District Congress office here on January 5.
Addressing the mediapersons Vinayraj said, “If any Hindu youth is killed the BJP is playing politics over the dead body. Even if a PFI member is killed, they blame Ramanath Rai. The BJP and PFI are creating communal violence and blaming Ramanath Rai for failing to control the law and order situation in the district. Both BJP and PFI are hell bent on defaming Minister Rai for any untoward incidents in the district.”
Vinayraj further said, “For the past three elections the PFI is fielding its candidate in the Bantwal constituency against Ramanath Rai to divide the votes and defeat him. Likewise in Mangaluru South and North Constituency, the PFI fielded its candidates to divide the Muslim votes to defeat the Congress candidates but they did not succeed. If the PFI fields their candidates, Muslim votes will be divided and BJP can win the elections. PFI is helping the BJP by fielding their candidates to divide Muslim votes and facilitate BJP’s win in the elections.”
Vinayraj also said, “From the beginning Minister Ramanath Rai is against those who create communal violence, he has opposed both the PFI and Hindu organization for indulging in communal violence. The BJP is demanding to ban the PFI which is a national-level organization and BJP government in the centre should do it. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MP Shobha Karnadlaje should put pressure on the central government to ban the PFI at the national level. Why is the BJP insisting the state government to ban the PFI when it is well within their power to ban it? If the state government will ban PFI, they will operate from other states. In Gujarat, Maharastra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Kashmir the PFI organizations are very active and all these states are ruled by the BJP. Why has the BJP not banned the PFI the states they are in power? Why has the NDA government maintained silence in these states? Now the people are aware of the conspiracy of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar. When the elections are nearing the BJP, Sangh Parivar and the PFI are creating communal violence to keep the Hindu and Muslim community away from the Congress. The Congress party is treating all citizens equally.”
