BJP City Yuva Morcha pays tribute to Martyrs of Uri Attack

Udupi: The Bharatiya Janata Party, City Yuva Morcha paid tribute at the war memorial, Ajjarkad on September 22, to the 18 martyrs and brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Uri Attack.
The BJP district president Mattar Rathnakar Hegde and Ex-servicemen’s association president Gilbert Braganza laid a wreath on the war memorial followed by paying floral tributes to the portraits of 18 martyrs and brave soldiers.
As a mark of respect, a one minute silence was observed and the soldiers were praised for their sacrifice.
Mattar Rathnakar Hegde in his message said that the 18 Indian soldiers had to sacrifice their lives to protect the motherland in Uri Attack. The sacrifices made by the soldiers and their families for ensuring the safety of fellow countrymen will always be remembered with gratitude. We should honour the soldiers who gave their lives to protect the country from intruders. Every individual should feel proud of our soldiers who are protecting the country, he added.
