BJP good in big talk but no action – Ivan D’Souza

Mangaluru: “BJP in the centre has completed three years and the Congress has completed four years in the state. The BJP in their manifesto had made a number of promises of bringing ache din if they come to power. People of the country believed in Modi and voted the BJP to power. After coming to power the BJP failed to fulfill its promises made in the election manifesto. BJP is busy in giving a number of assurances like, Mann-ki-baat, chow-chow baat, Kesari baat, etc and in marketing. Before coming to power the BJP promised that, if they come to power 130 crore people will enjoy Ache din. But who is enjoying Ache Din? Farmers, labourers and the common man have never known Ache din during the 3 years of BJP rule, only the corporate world is enjoying Ache Din through Amith Shah and company”, said the Chief Whip, Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at his chamber here on May 17.

Ivan further said, “Due to the demonetization people still suffer. For three months people were unable to withdraw their hard earned money. Modi even promised to bring back the black money stashed in the Swiss bank and credit Rs 15 lakh to the bank account of every citizen of the country, but till date people have not even received 5 paise in their account. We thought through Mann-ki-baat farmers will get some relief and their loan written off, but they did not get any benefits from any of his baat. Recently Modi’s big-baat was the removing of red beacons from the vehicles of politicians. Did the farmers get any benefits by removing the red beacons. BJP is good in big talk but no action. When Congress was in power BJP was against the GST but now they themselves are inviting foreign investors”.

Ivan also said, “MPs of the BJP should prepare a white paper of their party’s achievements in three years. How many promises they had made in their manifesto and how many of them have been fulfilled. What are the achievements of the BJP government in three years, how many new schemes the government has initiated and how many people have benefitted by them? How much black money has been collected through IT raids? and what is the policy of BJP. Instead of working for the welfare of the people the BJP government is discussing on the food habbits of the people, who should eat what and communalism. The BJP is involved in the politics of enmity. The achievements in three years of BJP ruling is a big zero.”

When asked about the survey done by a private company naming the Karnataka state “number one in Corruption”, Ivan said, “It might be Modi’s company to do the survey. The Congress government in the state does not have any case of corruption.”
