BJP has Twisted the Statement of Kumaraswamy to Mislead the People – Mohammed Kunhi
Mangaluru: “Our National leader Deve Gowda has sent a circular to all the districts to address the media about the statement by CM Kumaraswamy which the BJP leaders have twisted and created unrest in the state. After the coalition government came to power the BJP is hell-bent on destabilizing it. They tried through operation Kamala but failed. Now after being disappointed in all ways, the BJP is spreading false rumours and is involved in propaganda against Kumaraswamy. Our CM had only warned Yeddyurappa to stop harassing him and said that he would ask the people to revolt if they continued to harass him. But the BJP has twisted the statement and approached the Governor over the issue. Even the Local MLA said that Kumaraswamy has no experience to rule the state. Even the MLA of North constituency criticised the CM. Dr Bharat Shetty should think that if he is in politics today, that is because of Kumaraswamy. He doesn’t have any moral rights to criticize the CM”, said the district JD(S) president Mohammed Kunhi in a press meet held at the party office here on September 22.
Addressing the mediapersons Mohammed Kunhi said, “The state president of BJP Yeddyurappa in one incident had said that he would set fire to the state. Even the MP of DK Nalin Kumar Kateel while delivering his speech had said that if Karthik’s murderers were not traced he would set the district on fire. We need not learn a lesson from such leaders who are ready to set the state and district on fire. Our CM has said that the BJP is desperately trying to destabilize the coalition government. If they continue this he will urge the people to revolt against the BJP. But the BJP leaders twisted the statement and protested against Kumaraswamy.”
Mohammed Kunhi further said, “Yeddyurappa become the CM for three days during which he had used the charter flight but Kumaraswamy has visited every district to study the situation and work for the development of the district accordingly. MLA Vedavyas who has no knowledge of any politics criticised CM Kumaraswamy and said that Kumaraswamy has no experience in administration. First of all Vedavyas himself is not having any knowledge of politics. Even MLA Bharat Shetty’s career began with the JD(S) and now he is criticizing Kumaraswamy. Dr Bharat has no moral right to criticise Kumaraswamy as Kumaraswamy is born in a political family.”
Mohammed Kunhi also said, “JD(S) is working for the development and welfare of the people. In the last elections, the people of the state have supported us. In Dakshina Kannada, we will open our offices to strengthen the party. In the coming corporation elections, JD(S) candidates will contest in large numbers.”
JD(S) leaders Sushil Noronha, Vasanth Poojary, Ram Ganesh, Aziz Kudroli and others were also present.
