BJP MPs Failed to Bring Modi to Review Flood Situation in Karnataka – Ivan

Kundapur: Member of the Legislative Assembly Ivan D’Souza on Friday, August 24 exuded confidence that the Congress would win the majority of the seats in the elections to the urban local bodies in the State.

Speaking to the mediapersons in Kundapur Ivan said, “In the assembly elections we did not get the results we had expected. But if we compare the Assembly and the Lok Sabha elections, we are strong at the local level. We have influential leaders at the local level who have all worked hard. So the Congress would win the majority of seats in the elections to the urban local bodies”.

“We have already launched the election campaign across the district. The Congress Party has given the highest grant for the development of the Town Panchayat, Municipal Corporation and Municipalities. In this election, the Congress party has fielded people friendly candidates. The Congress party will get the majority in four urban local bodies in Udupi district,” Ivan said.

“The people of Madikeri and Kodagu are suffering from the floods and their lives have been disrupted. There has been a loss of about Rs 5,000 crores in the coastal districts and other parts of the state, but until now the union government has not come forward to help the state. In our state, we have 17 elected MPs from the BJP. Shobha Karandlaje, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sadananda Gowda, Prathap Simha are only fit to give lectures, they have failed to bring Narendra Modi to the State to review the flood situation. This shows the failure of the BJP MPs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kerala and reviewed the flood situation there. Life in many districts of the state have been disrupted due to the rains, and no relief has been given to the state by the central government,” Ivan said.

“When there were floods in the neighbouring country of Nepal, our Prime Minister immediately responded with help. But Modi did not find the time to come to the state of Karnataka, which is part of India. During the elections, Modi visited the state 28 times including Madikeri, Mangalore and Udupi but now he has no time to visit flood-affected people,” he said.

Kundapura Block Congress president Malyadi Shivaram Shetty, District Congress vice president Hiriyanna, Congress leaders Devaki, Vikas Hegde, Chandrashekar Shetty, Vinod Crasta and others were present.

Says the guy whose party president is vacationing in Europe while Kerala is under water!! LOL LOL Looks like Ivan D’Souza didn’t learn any lesson from assembly elections. His anti-hindu politics and propaganda are getting old. He needs to think of entire society, not just his Catholic friends.
